Would they miss us?

Jacob Atchley, Church Planter of The Church at Martinsburg wrote a compelling article entitled "Would They Miss Us?" for inthepanhandle, an online publication in West Virginia. Jacob rightly observes that there are many churches.

Then he asks this question: "Would there be a significant difference to the quality of life in Berkeley County residents (where his church plant is located) if all the faith communities were gone?"

What about your area? Would they miss us? This is a challenging question. I have on occasion, asked people if they knew where our church is located. Bear in mind that we are at the top of a hill, on one of the busiest thoroughfares in the area. I have asked this question within sight of the church, and received "no" for an answer. Many of us are not even on the radar screen of lost people.

Jacob writes that there is a significant difference between being a museum and a movement. God has called us to be a movement!
