Our oldest child Nathan, turns 10 years old today. I was in seminary when he was born. I remember I was taking an Old Testament class in the evening when my wife called and said, "it's time, I think we need to go to the hospital soon". So I made my way home and we went to Durham Regional Hospital in Durham, North Carolina. I remember thinking when he was born, how could anyone see the miracle of life in person and not believe in God? Life is a gift.Nathan is a special boy with varied interests. As you can see in the photo, he absolutely loves the outdoors. He asked for his own shotgun for his birthday to hunt with. He enjoys sports. But most importantly, even before he came to know Jesus as His Savior, he felt like God was calling him to be a missionary. He has been studying Chinese for the past two years and has not wavered in his calling at all.
We are thankful to God for all of our children and today is a special day for Nathan.
Psalms 127:3 Sons indeed are a heritage from the Lord, children, a reward.
